“This is very representative of the view from the pitwall during a grand prix weekend. Being up on the pitwall gives you a good look into both garages – you can very quickly work out what’s happening and whether things are going well or not. It also gives you clear sight up and down the pitlane, so you can judge what your competitors are up to. Compositionally, I thought it was interesting to split the image in half, filling the top half with flat panelling, and the lower half with all the action in the F1 garage. I might not be David Bailey, but I have a go!”
