It was a wet practice session, as it often is in Japan, and Fernando Alonso was keen to see whether his McLaren Honda would be any more competitive in the wet than it was in the dry. He lit the rear wheels up as he left the pit, leaving this trail of Pirelli full-wet rubber on the immaculate garage floor.
